I’ve always lived with a certain excitement for, and love of art and color. I hold a graduate degree in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design with a secondary focus in painting and a graduate certificate in contemporary theories (art history). But art, as many who love it know, continues to call me to consider further questions- questions of relevance and content, of the body, of craft and it’s functions, of aesthetics and, most of all, questions of what interests me and why.

I write from a cross disciplinary¬†perspective.¬†Aside from my MFA and certificate, I have also acted as gallery director for Bellarmine University’s McGrath gallery, won multiple swing dance titles, shown work in numerous national and international shows, and have taught at Bellarmine University, Indiana University Southeast, and University of Louisville (to name a few). I have also been known, on occasion, to work as a costumer for dancers and performance artists requiring items with movement.

I hope this blog excites and inspires you as much as the artwork and experiences documented here has captivated me.
